Poker Hand Rankings

Hands are ranked from strongest to weakest. The best hand wins the pot.

Royal Flush

The highest possible hand. A, K, Q, J, 10 all of the same suit.

Straight Flush

Five consecutive cards of the same suit.

Nine of hearts Eight of hearts Seven of hearts Six of hearts Five of hearts

Four of a Kind

Four cards of the same rank, plus any fifth card.

King of spades King of hearts King of diamonds King of clubs Three of spades

Full House

Three of a kind plus a pair.

Jack of spades Jack of hearts Jack of diamonds Eight of clubs Eight of spades

Flush

Five cards of the same suit, not in sequence.

Ace of diamonds Jack of diamonds Eight of diamonds Six of diamonds Two of diamonds

Straight

Five consecutive cards of mixed suits.

Three of a Kind

Three cards of the same rank, plus two unrelated cards.

Two Pair

Two different pairs, plus any fifth card.

One Pair

Two cards of the same rank, plus three unrelated cards.

High Card

No matching cards. The highest card plays.
